The Position 

The Head of People & Culture will be an integral part of the XPON Technologies Executive leadership team and will be responsible for providing strategic and operational people and culture resources leadership initiatives which are aligned to XPON’s values, vision, goals, and organisational culture. Reporting to the Group Managing Director, this is a newly created position which will see you deliver high level human resources to a growing workforce based across Australia and international markets.

You will join a business with leaders who are entrepreneurial in nature, innovative and visionary and you will have this same drive to lead the People & Culture function for XPON.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with XPON leaders and Managers to develop the strategic people plan and ensure business decisions and processes are consistent with a high-performance culture, and are in line with the XPON’s values of teamwork, honesty, innovation and constant improvement;
  • Implement end-to-end talent and recruitment strategies and initiatives aimed at improving operational workforce turnover, team satisfaction, and productivity that can better capitalise on future business opportunities;
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective and objective investigations, provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions) driving positive changes in the management of people and performance improvement;
  • Supports the delivery of organizational development solutions, learning and development programs to ensure work practices are consistent and integrated;
  • Identify key training needs, develop annual training programs and facilitate the delivery of the programs across the business;
  • Develop and maintain payroll reporting processes and procedures and the payroll system with a focus on upholding industrial and legislative compliance and requirements, and ensure a high standard of data integrity for the purposes of reporting and data analysis.
Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment/Industrial Relations or related business management discipline;
  • Demonstrated experience as a senior HR representative, manager or business partner managing an IT portfolio or within a professional services environment;
  • An attested ability to engage, influence and contribute to organisational strategy and translating that strategy into operational deliverables via a broad range of stakeholders;
  • Balanced style to be agile and adaptive through organisational change, whilst understanding organisational or department maturity and readiness for change;
  • Strong influencing and coaching style that can be translated as contemporary, visionary and relatable to a workforce that is a young demographic and morphing and changing with modern times.
