The Role
This is a broad Human Resources generalist position with a strong advisory focus.
Approximately 70% of the role involves partnering with managers, providing guidance and practical advice across employee relations and performance matters. The remaining responsibilities include recruitment, employee lifecycle activities, workers compensation, return to work coordination and supporting People & Culture projects.
The role provides exposure across multiple business locations while working within an experienced and approachable People & Culture team.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with managers to provide practical Human Resources advice and support
- Coach leaders through employee relations, performance and conduct matters
- Support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities
- Coordinate workers compensation and return to work processes
- Contribute to People & Culture projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain Human Resources records, policies and documentation
- Build strong relationships across a diverse workforce
- Previous experience as a Human Resources Advisor or People & Culture Advisor
- Strong employee relations and performance management experience
- Confidence providing practical advice to leaders
- Experience across the employee lifecycle
- Exposure to workers compensation and return to work processes
- Experience using Human Resources Information Systems, with ELMO highly regarded
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
