The Position 

Reporting to the Global HR Business Partner, the purpose of your job will be to align business objectives with employees and local management teams across all functions in the business including commercial, supply chain and business services. You will serve as a consultant and partner to managers on all human resources related issues and manage a small team of two for a key site of the business. Acting as an employee champion and ambassador of the brand’s strategies, you will provide managers with the tools and resources to develop capability across their people.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Coach, advise and influence managers on employment law, HR policies and procedures, trade union and enterprise bargaining agreements and employment relations matters;
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance;
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions) and develop and maintain strong business relationships with managers to build morale, drive engagement and increase productivity and retention;
  • Provide input during design phases of HR initiatives developed by HR Operations and HR Centres of Excellence, successfully executing these initiatives and providing feedback;
  • Support leaders across all functions in the organisation’s engagement efforts, including analysing survey results, determining key focus areas and developing action plans;
  • Manage local recruitment campaigns to support identification and selection of highly capable talent.
Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment/Industrial Relations or related business management discipline;
  • Highly developed understanding of industrial relations, complex employment relations, enterprise bargaining and a solid knowledge of New South Wales employment legislation;
  • Demonstrated experience as a HR Business Partner or Human Resources Manager with an attested ability to engage, influence and contribute to organisational strategy and translating that strategy into operational deliverables via a broad range of stakeholders;
  • Balanced style to be agile and adaptive through organisational change, whilst understanding organisational or department maturity and readiness for change;
  • Strong business partnering and coaching style that can be relatable to frontline staff all the way up to the executive and senior leadership teams;
  • Proven capability in building service capability and responsiveness, the management of organisational change and the delivery of HR services to blue-collar and multi-site workforces.
