Sharp & Carter are excited to be partnering with a highly regarded FMCG organisation to appoint a HR Business Partner on an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative team during a period of growth and transformation, with strong project exposure and the potential for the role to transition into a permanent position.

This role will see you supporting a predominantly blue-collar workforce, partnering closely with operations leaders across manufacturing and supply chain functions. It would suit either an established HR Business Partner or an up-and-coming Senior HR Advisor/Generalist looking to step into a broader partnering role.

The Role
Reporting into the Head of HR, you will take ownership of a defined business unit, providing both operational and strategic HR support. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Partnering with leaders to provide pragmatic HR advice across the employee lifecycle
  • Managing complex employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, and performance management
  • Supporting leaders with performance, capability development, and coaching conversations
  • Driving HR initiatives and contributing to broader people projects and initiatives
  • Supporting workforce planning, talent development, and organisational design where required
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and practices
  • Working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders, both on-site and corporate, to deliver consistent HR outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, or a similarly operational environment
  • Strong exposure to complex ER matters, with the ability to manage cases end-to-end
  • Confidence working autonomously while staying closely aligned to broader HR strategy
  • A practical, people-focused approach with the ability to influence a range of stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and the maturity to navigate challenging conversations
  • A genuine willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
The Opportunity
  • Join a well-established, growing FMCG organisation
  • Inner West location with hybrid flexibility
  • Supportive and energetic team culture
  • Strong exposure to both BAU and project-based work
  • Opportunity to make a real impact during an exciting growth phase
  • Potential for the position to transition into a permanent role
