Step into a business at a critical point of change, where you will partner directly with a Managing Director and take ownership of all people matters within a small, high-performing business under a larger umbrella of technology business.
This is a hands-on HR Business Partner role within a portfolio of technology businesses. You will operate as the sole HR lead for your business unit, supporting leaders across operations, sales, and technical teams.
The environment is evolving, with a clear focus on improving structure, strengthening employee relations, and lifting overall people practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations matters end-to-end, including investigations, grievances, and compliance risk
- Partner closely with the Managing Director and leadership team on all people matters
- Provide coaching to leaders across performance, behaviour, and engagement
- Drive WHS and compliance initiatives, addressing current gaps in safety practices
- Support HR operations including benefits, processes, and system navigation
- Contribute to improving culture, engagement, and overall employee experience
You will be embedded within a business unit of approximately 25 employees, operating within a broader global portfolio model.
You will need to:
- Operate with autonomy and sound judgement
- Manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
- Work across several HR and business systems
- Support a business that is actively improving its processes and structure
- 5+ years HR experience in a Business Partner or Senior Advisor capacity
- Strong employee relations and investigations experience
- Exposure to WHS and compliance environments
- Confidence working directly with senior leaders
- The ability to operate independently and make decisions
- Remains calm under pressure
- Is direct, pragmatic, and able to influence
- Is comfortable pushing back when needed
- Does not rely on perfect structure to succeed
- Direct partnership with a Managing Director and leadership team
