We’re partnering with a major Queensland Government department to appoint an experienced ITSM Specialist to support their Digital Innovation Division.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys improving service maturity, lifting operational performance, and embedding better service management practices across a complex environment. You’ll play a key role in enhancing service delivery, reducing disruption, improving reporting, and driving continual improvement across core ITSM functions. .
About the role In this position, you will:
- Provide subject matter expertise across IT Service Management practices and support the development of service management documentation.
- Deliver regular and ad hoc ITSM reporting, dashboards and insights across multi-functional teams.
- Lead improvements to processes, tools and behaviours to reduce service risk and improve customer experience.
- Support and uplift ITSM practices across Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge and Release Management.
- Contribute to knowledge transfer and help build a highly capable and efficient service management function.
- At least 3 years’ experience working in an IT Service Management environment.
- Experience establishing or uplifting contemporary ITSM capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Analytical problem-solving capability and experience identifying service improvement opportunities.
- Experience designing and optimising service processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, ISO 20000, PRINCE2 or similar will be highly regarded.
- Standard hours are 8 hours per day / 5 days per week, with weekly hours capped at 40.
- The role is expected to be on-site initially for at least the first two weeks, with flexibility subject to supervisor approval thereafter.
- A clear Criminal History Check is required.
