We are seeking a senior Architecture Lead to join a major enterprise transformation program currently transitioning into the delivery phase.
This is a high-impact contract role where you will operate at the intersection of architecture, delivery, and executive engagement, helping shape the direction of a core platform implementation. This is not a hands-on solution architecture role instead, you will provide leadership, coordination, and governance across a critical work stream.
The Role:
You will act as the architecture lead within a core domain, partnering closely with program leadership, delivery teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment, clarity, and readiness as the program scales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate a small team of Solution Architects
- Provide architectural oversight and direction across a core platform workstream
- Act as the primary architecture representative in program and executive forums
- Work closely with delivery partners and vendors to guide solution direction
- Define and align system components, ownership, and responsibilities
- Ensure the program is architecturally prepared for large-scale delivery and design phases
- Balance architectural integrity with delivery timelines and constraints
- Establish a clear high-level architecture / blueprint
- Define component ownership across internal teams and vendors
- Drive readiness for major planning and design workshops
- Identify key risks, dependencies, and architectural considerations
- Enable confident, informed decision-making at program level
- Extensive experience in architecture leadership roles within complex delivery environments
- Strong background working across large transformation or core system implementations
- Able to operate at both strategic and delivery levels
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and executives
- Experience working with vendors and delivery partners
- Comfortable navigating complex, evolving environments
- Experience in insurance, claims, or regulated environments
- Exposure to large-scale platform or core system implementations
- Background in consulting or vendor delivery environments
