About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications Manager and working closely with the CEO, the Media Manager will be given ownership to manage reactive and proactive media, external communications and advocacy. 

This will be maternity leave cover for six months. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the CEO to identify media opportunities 
  • Deliver proactive media stories through media contacts 
  • Issues / crisis management 
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide media management advice
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications team to support campaigns and reporting
  • Support advocacy as well as developing Position Statements 
  • Work with external stakeholder including consultants, government donors, sponsors and partners 
Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated proactive media experience is a must and is passionate about good stories 
  • Ideally have a journalism background in politics 
  • Advocacy and issues/crisis management experience is a must 
  • Strong stakeholder management 
  • Excellent time management skills
