About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to work within a large global retail company and be the system specialist for the payroll function. Working within the project team, you will be responsible for the backend payroll function and be involved in some exciting process and system improvement projects. The company is going through a period of growth so there are also some fantastic long-term, career opportunities. 

The responsibilities:
  1. Be the system specialist for the payroll function
  2. Coordinate and perform testing, deployment and support for all payroll related programs nationally
  3. Data conversion tasks
  4. Ensure compliance across payroll processes and functions
  5. Manage relationships with key stakeholders 
  6. Identify, train and implement process and system improvements
  7. Manage technical implementation and configuration
  8. Maintain system upgrades
  9. Assist with payroll system automation and process improvement projects

The successful applicant will have:
  • Proficient payroll experience from a back-end perspective (configuration, integration, testing etc.)
  • Experience with process improvement and system improvement projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A team player who can work collaboratively with other members within the team.
  • Experience with Chris21/ichris is highly advantageous
