About the Client

A brilliant opportunity presents for an experienced and high performing Payroll & Accounts professional to join their team based in Melbourne's North. You'll play a crucial role in driving financial operations forward and making a significant impact on their success, on a full-time permanent basis.
Your Role & Responsibilities
With team fit and culture a priority, the business is seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to take ownership of the payroll function and complete various finance duties. The role will include but not be limited to:
- Managing end to end payroll duties for 300+ employees
- Payment of superannuation, tax and workcover
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Ennsuring compliance with payroll related legislation
- Assisting with Accounts Payable & Receivable duties
- Completing various reconciliations
- Managing escalations & discrepancies, and providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth operations
- Building effective working relationships with all stakeholders and provide support as required
- Assisting with end of month processes including reporting and forecasting
- Streamlining processes and process improvement, with the intention of delivering savings and performance enhancements
- Partner with and assist the wider finance team
Ideal Candidate Profile
To be considered successful in the role, you will possess the following attributes:
- Outstanding knowledge of best practice for Payroll & transactional finance
- Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to confidently work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work proficiently in a high volume environment
- Self-motivated, positive and supportive team member
- Personable nature and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
