With a strong commitment to developing a positive culture within the business, our client are currently seeking an experienced & motivated Payroll professional to immediately join their collaborative finance team, on an ongoing basis. With continued business growth and company transformations, this is an exciting opportunity or an experienced individual to start their next challenge as soon as possible, working close to home in Melbourne's Western suburbs.
Position Description
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the Payroll function, and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Processing end to end payroll for 400 employees
- Interpretation and application of relevant EBAs and awards
- Preparing and lodgment of payroll tax and superannuation
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Administration of employee onboarding including contracts and new hire paperwork
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Ensure all monthly and yearly payroll deadlines are met
- Preparation of payroll related reports
- Complete varying HR duties to assist the People & Culture Manager
- Ad hoc duties to assist the broader finance team
Ideal Candidate
To be considered successful in the role, you will have the following attributes:
- Previous extensive experience in a similar end to end Payroll position
- A keen eye for detail, with high level time management skills & the ability to meet deadlines
- Personable nature and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Desire to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
