Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of People Systems, Services & Payroll, this role will manage 3 direct reports, and will involve but won't be limited to the following:
- Ensure compliance, governance & audit readiness
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes
- Oversee managed service provider
- Manage pay & time systems and data
- Act as escalation point for complex issue resolution
- Driving continuous improvement and system optimisation
- Implement effective risk management strategies & controls monitoring
- Mentoring and developing payroll team members
- Support the team as back-up during absences
- $130k + super

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Significant experience leading small Payroll teams in a complex, award/EBA driven environment
- Strong team leadership, coaching, and development skills
- Experience building relationship across the business
- Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation – New Zealand knowledge a bonus
- Experience managing Pay & Time systems and data
- Proven experience delivering and driving for results
- High attention to detail and analytical capability
- A collaborative and strategic mindset
- Exposure to working with a managed service provider advantageous
