They are seeking a switched-on Payroll Manager to join their team in and lead the payroll function with a change mentality.
The Role
Reporting to the GM of Finance, you will be responsible for the following
- Oversee the end to end payroll processing for over 650 employees on a weekly basis
- Developing, mentoring and leading a close team of two other payroll officers
- Process Australian payroll
- Ensuring complete and accurate statutory reporting - STP, PAYG, Tax, Super, Workcover
- Relevant EBA and Award interpretation
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiencies
- Reporting and budgeting
- Provide high quality customer service through accurate information and support to stakeholder enquiries
- Reconciliations
- Leading system improvements and upgrades
- Take responsibility for the payroll system and function
- Prior experience leading a payroll team
- Experience with system implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Proven process improvement initiatives
- The ability to work in a team-based environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise urgent work
- Analytical skills and an ability to think outside the box
- Willingness to take on projects
- Willingness to own the entire payroll function and system
- Salary circa $150,000 + superannuation depending on experience
