Please note this is a 6 month contract role with view to extension depending on business requirements as the current Payroll Manager executes a major project for the organisation.
Job Duties
Reporting into the Business Services Manager, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
- Developing, mentoring and leading a medium sized payroll team
- Overseeing the end to end payroll processing for 3,000 staff
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiency
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals
- Provide ongoing training
- Ensure relevant Awards and legislation are interpreted
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar Payroll Manager position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience leading and managing teams
- Established experience working within a medium or large sized organisation
- Prior experience with Chris 21 and/or Workday is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Experience working in a medium to large organisation
- Proven process improvement initiatives
