About the role:
This role will be suited to someone who is energetic, up beat and enjoys working in an environment where no day is the same. This is an established company in the healthcare sector who have a payroll size of approximately 5000 employees across Australia & New Zealand. They use varying payroll systems and you would be responsible for managing a team of around 9 people. The role offers a lot of autonomy to really own the Payroll function of the business.

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:
  • Ensure payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Coordinate, direct and control payroll preparation, processing and distribution
  • Uphold high customer service standards and protocols across the business
  • Develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively and as a team across departments
  • Use your system experience to ensure staff are well trained and payroll systems are running at their best
  • Identify process improvements and implement these changes using your strong system knowledge
The successful candidate will have: 
  • At least 5 years experience within a similar payroll position
  • Strong background using large payroll systems, having HR3 or Micropay an advantage
  • NZ Payroll Experience
  • Experience managing payroll projects 
  • A hands on and proactive attitude to support the payroll function
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
