Our client is looking for a Payroll Officer who is passionate about developing and progressing their career within a complex and rewarding payroll environment. This opportunity is based in the Brisbane CBD. As the successful candidate your role will be to provide accurate payroll processing, continual improvement of the payroll service and effectively liaise with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for working within a high-volume and ever-changing payroll environment.
Your key responsibilities will include, however are not limited to
- Efficiently processes pay runs, including STP & PAYG duties and managing leave requirements;
- Ability to manage an increasing payroll across multiple complex EBA's interpretation and relevant legislation;
- Ensuring all queries are resolved and monitoring all incoming mail;
- Managing the onboarding and offboarding duties of employees, including complex termination calculations;
- Conducting and executing all Month & Year end processes.
As the suitable candidate you will have demonstrated experience in a Payroll Officer or Payroll Administration position. You will need to demonstrate that you can work in a collaborative environment where you will be a positive influence to the team.
- Extensive experience in a full function Payroll position;
- Previous experience using a Tier One payroll system;
- Experience with a wide range of EBAs and Awards;
- Keen eye for attention to detail and process improvement;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to liaise confidently with colleagues and external contacts.
