As a result, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their large, collaborative payroll team on a long-term contract.
The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and Payroll Team Lead, this role will play a key part in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Using Ascender Pay, processing payroll transactions accurately and in line with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, and statutory requirements
- Maintaining employee records in the payroll system, including new starters, terminations, salary changes, tax declarations, and leave accruals
- Calculating and processing employee entitlements such as leave, overtime, allowances, bonuses, and termination payments
- Responding to payroll queries and supporting stakeholders across the business
- Assisting with payroll reporting and continuous process improvement
You will bring the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a payroll position within a medium to large organisation
- Demonstrated experience using Ascender Pay
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, awards, and entitlements
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail with solid MS Excel and numerical skills
