Due to ongoing growth and operational needs, they are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join their team.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, allowances, superannuation, and deductions
- Maintain and update payroll records, always ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Interpret and apply enterprise agreements, awards, and employment contracts
- Manage payroll queries and provide timely support to staff and stakeholders
- Reconcile payroll reports, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
- Support payroll compliance with Australian taxation, superannuation, and reporting obligations
- Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and year-end processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll systems, processes, and documentation
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and risk management practices
Ideal candidate
- Hands-on experience with Ascender Pay (highly regarded)
- Experience with end-to-end payroll
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A team-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Enhanced superannuation
