About the Role
We have been exclusively engaged to recruit a Payroll Project Manager to lead the Australian oracle payroll implementation for an international recognised brand.
Reporting into the UK (though working Australian hours), you’ll play a leading hand with implementing Oracle Fusion across a 1,000 weekly, and work closely with HR and Finance to deliver accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll services.
You’ll also play a key role in driving automation, improving systems, and helping to create a true centre of excellence for payroll. Please note this is an initial contract for 9 months, with the chance to extend.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support Payroll Operations by performing system validations and reconciliations in Oracle Fusion and related platforms and integrations
- Test, document, and support the testing and defect processes
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation activities
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new system features, enhancements, or integrations
- Assist with data cleansing and readiness activities, ensuring payroll master data quality and completeness prior to migration/go-live.
You’re an experienced senior payroll specialist who’s happy to help out payroll operations, but also keen to deliver and lead payroll projects and improvements.
You’ll bring:
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance (PAYG, Super, FBT, etc.)
- Proven experience leading a payroll team in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with Oracle is an advantage
- Solid understanding of Awards/EBAs and payroll reporting processes
- Great communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative, proactive, and can-do attitude
- Media industry exposure is a plus
