This is a newly created role in an Australian organisation for an enthusiastic and diligent Payroll System Administrator to join a busy team. This position is ideal for a payroll professional who enjoys the technical side of payroll, has strong systems knowledge, and thrives in an environment where they can make a genuine impact.
The Responsibilities:
Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for system administrator tasks including:
- Maintain and administer the payroll system
- Configure and manage workflows, approvals and user access
- Update pay rates and Enterprise Agreement changes within the system
- Run payroll reports and investigate payroll queries
- Support employee progression and remuneration calculations
- Assist with payroll processing and provide operational payroll support
- Maintain payroll calendars and leave configurations
- Document payroll processes and procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll systems and processes
- Demonstrated payroll systems administration experience (Strong Aurion experience preferred)
- Strong payroll knowledge across complex payroll environments
- Experience working with Enterprise Agreements and payroll compliance requirements
- Advanced reporting and data analysis skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A process improvement mindset and passion for systems
