Position Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
Indirectly managing a small team
Overseeing the payroll processing for up to 1,000 employees
Processing and calculating superannuation, payroll tax/PAYG
Month/year end closing
Identifying process improvements
Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
Preparation of monthly payroll journals
Ensure relevant Awards and legislation are interpreted
Ideal Candidate
Payroll experience within the retail industry is essential
Established experience working within a medium or large sized organisation
Experience with Chris 21 is highly advantageous
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
The ability to interpret awards and EBAs
