The Organisation

Our client is a large, values-driven organisation supporting communities across Australia through essential services and people-focused care. With a collaborative and inclusive culture, the business is committed to creating a positive employee experience while continuing to grow and evolve within a complex operational environment.

  • Flexible start and finish times with a genuinely supportive culture
  • Opportunity to work within a collaborative and high-performing HR function

The Opportunity

Reporting into the People Advisory Lead, this role will focus on providing broad operational HR support across a large workforce. You will partner closely with leaders and employees to deliver practical advice across employee lifecycle matters, HR processes, policy interpretation, and generalist advisory support.

The role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys operating at the HR Advisor level and is looking to continue building their capability within a strong advisory environment, rather than moving into a specialist ER or strategic HRBP pathway.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline HR advisory support to managers and employees
  • Manage and triage HR queries while escalating complex matters where required
  • Draft employment contracts, employee variations, and HR documentation
  • Support onboarding, secondments, and internal movement processes
  • Provide advice aligned to policies, procedures, awards, and employment legislation

What we’re looking for

You will be a confident and practical HR professional who enjoys operational advisory work and building strong relationships across the business. Exposure to the SCHADS Award and experience supporting large operational workforces will be highly regarded.

You bring:
  • Previous experience within a generalist HR Advisory role
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR processes
  • Experience interpreting Awards, ideally SCHADS
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
