The Opportunity
An opportunity within the People Advice Centre of a large, established wholesale and retail business. This is a hands-on, service-focused role with a clear split across two areas of responsibility: employee relations advisory and HR project support. This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity with the potential for extension.

What You'll Be Doing

Employee Relations & Advisory
  • Serve as a first point of contact for people-related enquiries via a ticketing system, providing timely and accurate advice on HR policies, processes and systems
  • Own cases end to end, including triage, investigation, resolution, escalation where required and closure
  • Manage workload to meet agreed service level agreements and ensure cases are progressed and closed in a timely manner
  • Support leaders to understand their P&C responsibilities and navigate employee matters with confidence
  • Maintain accurate case notes and documentation to support service quality, reporting and audit requirements
  • Complete standard HRIS transactions across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, variations and exits
  • Generate employment contracts, letters and related documentation in line with policy and approvals
HR Project Support
  • Support delivery of an internal P&C transformation program, contributing to coordination, progress tracking and reporting
  • Complete routine system administration activities including weekly new starter data entry and data quality checks
  • Provide backfill and coverage during planned and unplanned team absences, ensuring service levels are maintained
  • Support the development and maintenance of P&C knowledge articles, process documentation and workflow maps
  • Maintain accurate P&C content for frontline and core workforce audiences via internal platforms
  • Champion self-service solutions by ensuring people content is clear, current and accessible
What You'll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience in a P&C, HR or shared services environment delivering transactional and advisory support across the employee lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with SuccessFactors or a similar HRIS, including onboarding, people movements and data maintenance
  • Experience working within a ticket-based service model, managing cases end to end and meeting agreed SLAs
  • Exposure to providing frontline advice on P&C policies, processes and systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability for data accuracy and case documentation
  • Experience supporting periods of organisational change or increased workload
  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and tools
