We’re looking for a Principal Technical Lead to help modernise our clients' technology environment and to support a small development team as they move toward a more flexible, Microsoft‑based platform.
This is a newly created role where you’ll guide architectural direction, improve development practices, and mentor two developers as the business transitions away from a heavily customised ERP system.
What you’ll do
- Develop the future technology architecture and technical design
- Work with the BA and Head of Technology on a software and AI‑ready project plan
- Mentor and support the development team, setting clear standards and processes
- Introduce structure around documentation, peer reviews, release processes, and code management
- Collaborate with an external partner to support delivery
- Help shift the business from paper‑ and email‑based workflows to more modern solutions
- Experience mentoring developers and setting engineering standards
- A extensive background in .Net software development with strong capability in software architecture
- Practical experience improving development processes and ways of working
- Ability to lead complex technical projects and design architecture that addresses real business constraints
- Experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, PowerApps, Power Automate)
- Experience leading complex technical projects or transformations
- Exposure to BOMs is a plus
