An exciting opportunity has become available for a Product Development Coordinator to join their collaborative product development team.
About the Role
The Product Development Coordinator will support the delivery of end-to-end product development projects across a diverse portfolio of retailer-focused products. The role has a strong emphasis on product renovation and continuous improvement, while also supporting new product initiatives from concept through to commercialisation.
Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, meet customer expectations, and align with commercial and manufacturing requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating product development projects from concept through to launch
- Supporting product renovation, reformulation, and continuous improvement activities
- Assisting with product trials, scale-up, and commercial production
- Developing and maintaining product specifications and technical documentation
- Liaising with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams throughout project delivery
- Supporting artwork, labelling, and product compliance activities
- Coordinating project timelines and ensuring key milestones are achieved
- Assisting with ingredient evaluations and product benchmarking
- Supporting customer briefs and technical project requirements
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
- Previous experience in product development within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting end-to-end NPD or product renovation projects
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Understanding of food manufacturing processes and product commercialisation
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset
- Experience with retailer-facing products or private label development will be highly regarded
