What You’ll Do
Work with our product development and engineering teams to develop products and support existing projects across a wide variety of product fields, including hardware solutions and Accessories for Fleet and Recreational Vehicles, Audio/Visual and Connected/Smart iOT products.
You will be responsible for the sourcing and development of these product solutions, including supplier sourcing, product sample evaluation, testing and development, cost negotiation, quality, and delivery of product innovation in accordance with our customers specifications and business requirements.
You understand the full stack of the product development and sourcing process, from product development, specification, quality, and performance, through to Commercialisation working with our in-house design teams for manual development, packaging, training materials and customer presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with product development to support current projects and timelines
- Support the OE Sales Team to develop customer specific product development solutions
- Follow the product stage gate development process, ensuring full compliance across all metrics
- Undertake product, supplier, and costs analysis to ensure business case approvals
- Ensure products are developed, engineered, and tested, meeting our customers specifications
- Work with our engineering teams to develop any required solutions, installs and testing
- Contribute to the New Product Development pipeline with new ideas and thinking
- Continuously work on price improvement, quality improvement and supplier performance
- Develop strong supplier relationships that enable us to innovate and lead our competitors
- Undertake regular market reviews and competitive analysis (Product, Price and Category)
- Bring products to life by working on Branding and Packaging with the graphic design team
- Develop User Manuals and Customer training materials to support our products developed
- Stay in tune with the global market, watch and identify trends for development and consideration
- Explore market opportunities and evaluate technology options to develop new opportunities

Experience
- At least 3 years’ product development, product management or sourcing experience
- Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment
- Detailed product development skills and understanding of end-to-end project management
- Proven capability to lead product from concept to market launch
- Solid knowledge of telematics, infotainment, or vehicle connectivity trends globally
- Knowledge of Electronic components, tooling, molding, materials, brackets, looms
- Local and Overseas supplier sourcing with strong communication and negotiation skills
- Strong technical skills in developing customized solutions including in vehicle integrations
- Strong engineering and QA experience in testing, fault finding and quality control
- Experienced in writing user manuals and developing supporting tools for OEM/Retail customers
- Good presentation skills with ability to present information to multiple stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, particularly at the management level
- Passion for creating value and improving processes
- An avid interest in tracking new technology and keeping up to date with tech trends
- Intermediate to advanced MS office knowledge including Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook
- Experience with project management and project management tools like Wrike, Jira, Confluence an advantage
