The Role: 
The Project Engineer (Systems & Network) will be based in Melbournes CBD on a permanent basis. 
In this role you will be a provided desktop, server, network and infrastructure resource to existing clients, able to work along.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Use and configure advanced features of Active Directory, Exchange and Supporting systems including RD Gateway, IIS Service Platforms and Database Systems.
  • Administer, troubleshoot and maintain cloud-based systems such as Office 365.
  • Migrate to, configure and support MS Office365 Apps/Teams /Azure AD/ AWS/ Google and other cloud services
  • Execute, conduct and complete individual IT and cyber security audits.
  • Application of ASD Essential Eight Maturity Model
  • Provide IT general controls and application controls audit support to external audit.
  • Assessing and evaluating system and process risks;
  • Maintaining appropriate and adequate documentation for each audit to a standard required by auditing standards
  • Configure and manage SonicWall appliances.
  • Service awareness of all of the organisation’s key IT services for which support is being provided.
  • Business awareness of the specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals.
  • Configure support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
Your Skills & Experience:
  • Knowledge of IT applications, processes, software, and equipment, including virtualisation, and storage.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies including VLAN, LAG, VPN, network switching and traffic prioritisation technologies.
  • Understanding and hands-on experience with cloud centric technologies, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in ICT, including servers, desktops and networks.
  • Understanding of VoIP technologies.
  • Cybersecurity. Ability to undertake risk assessment of security posture, identification and remediation of security gaps.
  • Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot software packages including Microsoft packages and client facing line of business packages.
  • Extensive experience in systems support role in an SME environment.
  • Experience in design, configuration and support of Office 365/Azure/AWS and other cloud services.
  • Experience with operating environments including current edition of Windows Server, virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V) and server technologies such as Exchange and Active Directory.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in systems support role.
