About the role
Our client is on the lookout for an experienced Purchasing Officer to manage the purchasing and production space within their successful business. Based in Bayswater, This role requires someone who has a strong attention to detail and has great time management skills. This role encompasses adhering to the business' set policies and procedures surrounding purchasing and maintaining strong inventory levels. You will be an individual who loves to add value to the business and enjoy collaborating positively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Production Manager, your role will include but not be limited to;
  • Monitor inventory levels and provide material supply status to management
  • Place purchase orders on suppliers and monitor inbound receipts
  • Work closely with and monitor Production processes to ensure minimal disruption to material supply
  • Ensure vendors are managed to safeguard supply of materials within agreed lead times
  • Advise management of potential supply and process gaps which lead to supply shortfalls and excess stocks
  • Other ad hoc duties as per directed 

Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a Purchasing/Planning role 
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) 
  • Proficient use of the MS Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Motivated and reliable attitude to work 
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
