With a continued focus on quality excellence and operational improvement, they are seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join their team and support site quality systems and compliance activities.

About the Role
The Quality Assurance Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining and improving food safety and quality standards across the manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is comfortable working closely with production teams, managing retailer requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining and improving food safety and quality systems including HACCP, SQF, and GMP
  • Managing retailer specifications, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Supporting Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, and customer compliance systems
  • Leading customer complaint investigations and non-conformance management
  • Conducting quality checks and providing a strong QA presence on the production floor
  • Supporting internal, customer, and third-party audits
  • Ensuring compliance with FSANZ and customer standards
  • Managing traceability processes, supplier approvals, and mock recall activities
  • Conducting sensory evaluations and product quality assessments
  • Maintaining accurate quality documentation, records, and specifications
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across quality and compliance
  • Assisting with new product development activities and technical requirements

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience within food manufacturing quality assurance or compliance
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, SQF, GMP, and food safety standards
  • Experience managing retailer requirements and quality systems
  • Exposure to major retailer portals and specifications (Coles, Woolworths, ALDI highly regarded)
  • Experience managing complaints, non-conformances, audits, and corrective actions
  • Strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of quality outcomes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence production teams and stakeholders
  • Flexible approach with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
