About the Role You will join the Retail recruitment team, specialising in placing top talent across buying, product development, planning and store operations. This role blends relationship‑building, commercial problem‑solving, and talent advisory work across some of Australia’s retail brands.
Your focus will be to grow and manage a portfolio of retail clients nationwide while building deep candidate networks across merchandise and operations disciplines. You’ll operate with autonomy, backed by a values‑driven culture known for genuine care, collaboration, and long‑term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Client partnership — Build, manage, and grow relationships with retail clients across Australia, understanding their business structures, talent needs, and operating rhythms.
- End‑to‑end recruitment — Manage full recruitment cycles for merchandise and operations roles, including briefing, sourcing, interviewing, shortlisting, and offer negotiation.
- Talent pipeline development — Proactively map and engage high‑calibre candidates across buying, planning, replenishment, merchandise operations, and retail support.
- Market insights — Advise clients and candidates on salary trends, organisational structures, and talent availability within the Australian retail landscape.
- Business development — Identify new opportunities, nurture warm leads, and contribute to the team’s growth strategy.
- Candidate experience — Deliver a high‑touch, relationship‑led experience aligned with Sharp & Carter’s values of care, generosity, and trust.
- Team collaboration — Work closely with colleagues across the national network to share insights, talent pools, and opportunities.
About You
- 3+ Years experience in a 360 recruitment role within the retail sector with a clear understanding of role profiles across Merchandise and Operations.
- Software experience across CRM systems, ideally Job Adder. Must also be experienced using Linkedin recruiter.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with a genuine interest in people and business.
- Ability to negotiate recruitment terms with retail clients.
- Degree educated to Bachelors level.
- Experience working with both fashion and general merchandise brands.
- Commercially astute with the ability to understand organisational structures and role requirements.
