Duties
- Lead, mentor, and develop a Queensland‑based sales team, driving a strong performance culture focused on growth, accountability, and results.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned to broader commercial objectives, ensuring revenue and profit targets are achieved or exceeded.
- Remain customer‑facing, leading by example through active pipeline management and engagement with key accounts and corporate customers.
- Drive business development across technical solution categories, proprietary products, software, and consumables, identifying new market and customer opportunities.
- Provide targeted coaching and development to uplift capability in consultative selling, negotiation, and solution positioning.
- Build strong relationships with decision‑makers at all levels, embedding solutions that deliver clear ROI and long‑term value.
- Deliver professional presentations and demonstrations of technical solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders including marketing, operations, and procurement to ensure customer and market needs are met.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategic planning and decision‑making.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Travel regularly across the region, planning activity to maximise customer and commercial outcomes.
- Proven success in a sales leadership or senior business development role, with a track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and profit targets.
- Experience selling technical, industrial, or solution‑based products into sectors such as manufacturing, industrial, mining, automotive, electrical, or related markets.
- Strong people leadership capability, with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high‑performing sales teams.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate high‑level objectives into practical, executable sales plans.
- Highly developed negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Confident presentation style with experience delivering product or solution demonstrations.
- Results‑driven, commercially astute, and collaborative in approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
