The Opportunity As a Recovery Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional post-anaesthetic care, ensuring patients are safely monitored and supported throughout their recovery following surgical procedures.
Working closely with Anaesthetists, Surgeons, and the wider perioperative team, you will play an integral role in delivering outstanding patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to patients in the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU).
- Monitor and assess patients during the immediate post-operative period.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and pain management in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and best practice standards.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Recent experience in a Recovery or Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU).
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, patient-centred care.
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is highly regarded.
