About the Role:

Reporting to the CEO and managing a small team. This newly created role will be responsible for profitably growing the business through the implementation of strategic customer plans, ensuring successful reviews and managing key relationships with Coles, Woolworths, Metcash, P&C, and Pharmacy. You will work closely with the marketing and operations teams to manage and drive the development of new initiatives. This person will take full ownership of both short term planning and the long term sales strategy. You will also be charged with further growing and developing a winning team.

Duties:
  • Drive growth through strategic business plans while also taking advantage of any short term market opportunities
  • Further develop strong relationships and joint business plans across Coles, Woolworths, Metcash & P&C
  • Establish new category insights and forecasting processes
  • Manage overall S&OP planning
  • Take the lead on product innovation in partnership with R&D
  • Develop and drive new market expansion strategies both retail and B2B
  • Work closely with internal operations, marketing and finance teams
  • As a key member of the leadership team, continue to drive a supportive, innovative culture across all functions within the company  
Skills and Experience 
  • At least 15+ years of FMCG experience
  • Currently in a Sales Director/Head of Sales role within an SME manufacturer or Senior NBM role within a Tier1.
  • Established rapport and relationships with the major retailers
  • Proven people and business leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of category management in building and executing joint Business Plans with major customers
  • Strong selling & negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills, financial acumen & P&L management
  • Self-starter, high energy, resilient and determined
  • Masters degree preferred
  • Advanced Excel & powerpoint skills
