The Opportunity
Reporting to a highly experienced Finance Director, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insights, and operational support across a complex retail network. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operations to provide meaningful financial insights and performance analysis
- Lead month-end processes including P&L preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany reporting
- Deliver timely and accurate reporting to support commercial decision making
- Manage cash flow forecasting and cash management activities
- Oversee fixed asset register, including depreciation and disposals
- Ensure compliance with tax obligations (including BAS)
- Support payroll reporting in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing performance tracking
- Partner with auditors and support audit processes
- CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)
- Experience in accounting, ideally within retail, FMCG, or hospitality environments
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into insights
- Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems (SAP highly regarded)
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
