Our client is a growing healthcare services organisation undergoing a period of transformation and process improvement. They are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join the team on a temp basis, working three days per week and starting ASAP.

Reporting to the CEO, responsibilities will include:
  • Lead month-end close processes, including journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting.
  • Prepare consolidated financial reporting, analysis, and commentary for senior stakeholders.
  • Manage statutory compliance obligations including BAS/IAS, GST, Payroll Tax, FBT, Income Tax, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate annual budgeting, forecasting, cashflow reporting, and ongoing financial performance analysis.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll review, banking, fixed assets, and internal controls.
  • Manage external audit requirements and assist with annual financial statements, tax compliance, and R&D submissions.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, CAPEX reporting, depreciation schedules, and ensure the integrity of financial records.
  • Support and mentor transactional finance staff while driving process improvements and ensuring best-practice financial governance.

About You
  • CA/CPA qualified with proven experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
  • Immediately available.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and advanced Excel skills.
  • Healthcare, medical services, or allied health industry experience will be highly regarded.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a SME environment.
