I’m currently partnering with a highly regarded ASX-listed real estate and infrastructure group to recruit a high-calibre Senior Accountant into their Group Finance function.
This role is ideally suited to a second mover from Audit (Big 4 / mid-tier) who is CA qualified and looking to step into a broad, high-impact position with genuine career progression.
Importantly, this opportunity offers a clear pathway to Finance Manager responsibilities within 12 months, making it an outstanding career move for someone looking to accelerate their progression in a listed environment.
The Role
Sitting within Group Finance and reporting to a Senior Finance Manager, you will take ownership of key reporting deliverables across the listed group and its subsidiaries, while gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of monthly results (standalone and consolidated), including analysis and reporting packs
- Preparation of half-year and annual statutory financial statements, including management of the audit process
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and close processes
- Providing technical accounting support across complex transactions (including areas such as share-based payments)
- Supporting the implementation of new accounting standards and policies
- Driving process improvement and automation initiatives across reporting
- Partnering with internal teams across FP&A, Tax, Investments and Property Finance
- Exposure to tax compliance and advisory processes, working alongside external advisors
- CA/CPA qualified (CA preferred)
- Second mover from Audit (Big 4 or strong mid-tier background preferred)
- 3–5 years’ experience across audit and/or commercial roles
- Strong grounding in IFRS/AASB financial reporting
- Experience in multi-entity or complex group environments
- Exposure to property, infrastructure, or funds management is advantageous
- Systems exposure (e.g. TM1, Workiva, Yardi) beneficial
