With continued growth across the business, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their collaborative and close-knit team.

The Role
As Senior Bookkeeper, you will take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping requirements for a portfolio of clients across a range of industries. You will work closely with clients, manage multiple deadlines and provide accurate and timely financial support.


Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing the bookkeeping requirements for multiple clients using Xero and other accounting platforms
  • End-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Preparing creditor payment runs and ABA files
  • Completing bank, credit card, payroll and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing and reviewing BAS and IAS
  • Managing payroll processing, superannuation and STP reporting
  • Preparing month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
  • Reviewing financial reports and resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Building strong relationships with clients and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Managing competing deadlines across multiple businesses and client entities

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:
  • A minimum of 5 years' end-to-end bookkeeping experience
  • Previous experience working within a bookkeeping firm, accounting practice, professional services environment or other multi-client setting
  • Strong hands-on experience with Xero
  • End-to-end payroll experience
  • A solid understanding of general ledger accounting, including debits, credits, coding and reconciliations
  • Experience preparing BAS and completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with trust accounting or legal clients would be advantageous, but is not essential
