An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Commercial Accountant to join a well-established organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
With an immediate start available, this role is ideal for a commercially focused accounting professional who is ready to hit the ground running and partner with stakeholders across the business.
Working within a collaborative finance team, you'll play a key role in delivering financial insights, supporting operational decision-making and ensuring the smooth delivery of core finance functions.
This is a hands-on role that offers a broad mix of financial reporting, business partnering and process improvement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational leaders to provide commercial financial advice and support decision-making.
- Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis and board reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Support month-end and year-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with relevant statutory obligations.
- Monitor financial performance, investigate variances and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
- Support grant, project and operational reporting where required.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to support strategic and operational objectives.
- CA or CPA qualification (or be nearing completion).
- Previous experience in a Senior Commercial Accountant, Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant position.
- Strong experience across budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and communicate financial information to non-finance audiences.
- Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Previous Big 4 experience will be highly regarded.
- Immediate availability, or the ability to commence at short notice
- 6-month fixed-term contract with an immediate start.
