The Role 
Reporting to the Director of Property & Economic Development, you will be responsible for:
  • Participate in the development of feasibility studies and business cases associated with the University’s commercial property developments
  • Manage and oversee the successful co-ordination and delivery of a diverse range of complex UCOF projects
  • Identify marketing strategies to attract key commercial stakeholders to the range of commercial developments opportunities across LTU campuses
  • Drive optimal outcomes through participation in campus masterplanning
  • Lead and coordinate the statutory planning process, including rezoning and alignment with the UCOF masterplanning process and masterplanning of other campuses
  • Contribute and/or lead outcomes of commercial agreements including overseeing delivery against Groundleases and Development Agreements
  • Build excellent relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders including senior University Executives, State and Local Government departments, Community Stakeholders, Industry and Private partners  
About You
Successful applicants for this role will be Property Development Professionals with the following skills and experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Property or a related field
  • Proven ability to initiate and deliver mixed use commercial development projects from town planning through to completion
  • Sound commercial management skills, including experience in undertaking feasibility studies, business cases and developing and managing budgets.
  • Strong understanding of Town Planning, ideally with exposure to large scale master planning and statutory planning.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • High level of emotional intelligence with the ability to engage and influence outcomes in a complex environment
  • Flexible approach, with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing project needs
  • Ability to work across projects at different life cycle stages
