Senior Financial Analyst – Operations Finance 12 Month Fixed Term Contract | $130k Base + Super + Bonus
We are partnering with a large, well-known Australian organisation to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Operations Finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a highly visible role leading a small team while partnering closely with operational stakeholders to drive financial performance across a portfolio of assets.
The Opportunity
This opportunity offers strong leadership exposure, a highly commercial remit and the chance to influence key business decisions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will lead a team of analysts and play a key role in financial management, forecasting and strategic business partnering across a large operational portfolio. You will work closely with operational and asset stakeholders, helping them understand financial performance and key drivers while supporting budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes. This role is ideal for a strong communicator who enjoys working with non-finance stakeholders and leading teams in a commercially focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and manage a team of analysts to deliver key finance processes
- Partner with operational stakeholders to drive financial performance
- Deliver month-end, forecasting and budgeting processes across income and expense lines
- Present results and key drivers to senior stakeholders
- Support portfolio and performance review meetings
- Drive process improvements and challenge existing reporting to increase efficiency
- Collaborate with finance peers to deliver key finance initiatives
- Experience in a Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Business Partner or Commercial Finance role
- People management experience (essential)
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- CA/CPA qualification (preferred)
- Candidates from large corporate, retail, property, FMCG, aviation, infrastructure or similar environments will be highly regarded.
