We are partnering with a well-established organisation within a well-known industry in Perth to recruit a Senior Finance Officer. This organisation plays a key role in supporting a dynamic and fast-paced sector, working closely with a broad range of stakeholders and commercial partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transactional finance professional to step into a leadership-focused role, supporting operational excellence, system improvements, and team development.
The Role:
Reporting to the Transactional Finance Manager, you will oversee transactional finance operations while providing guidance and support to a high-performing team. You will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across finance processes.
You will be focusing on;
• End-to-end Accounts Payable processing, including system maintenance (ABBYY & Rapid AP)
• End-to-end Accounts Receivable and banking, including reconciliations and variance analysis
• Management of transactional balance sheet reconciliations and associated ledgers
• Overseeing specialised accounts processes and workflow approvals
• Supporting and mentoring team members across AP, AR, and reconciliations
• Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholder queries
• Monitoring and managing purchase card compliance, systems, and reporting
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives across transactional finance processes
• Supporting system upgrades, implementations, and process enhancements
• Assisting with financial system controls, testing, and compliance requirements
Role Requirements:
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar transactional or finance officer role
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or working towards CA/CPA
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and GST compliance
• Experience across end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable functions
• Strong systems experience (ERP exposure highly regarded) and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
