The Role

Reporting to senior leadership within the National Finance team, the Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role across financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and operational finance support.
This position will suit someone who enjoys operating in a broad and hands-on accounting role, while partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Lead month-end financial accounting processes, including preparation of financial statements and reporting
  • Support year-end reporting requirements, including tax return preparation and audit processes
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and compliance support
  • Act as an escalation point across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Credit functions
  • Support BAS, FBT, indirect tax, and broader statutory compliance requirements
  • Assist with annual budgeting and KPI reporting processes
  • Monitor debtor compliance and reporting across the business
  • Deliver financial analysis and reporting to support operational and commercial decision-making
  • Support annual insurance and regulatory reporting processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations and reporting processes
The Candidate
  • Strong technical financial accounting capability with experience across month-end and statutory reporting
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and partner with a broad stakeholder group
  • Previous exposure across broader finance functions including AP, AR, Payroll, or Credit highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume workloads
  • Hands-on and adaptable approach within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • CA / CPA qualified
  • 5+ years’ experience within financial accounting or broader finance roles
  • Advanced Excel capability and strong systems exposure
  • Experience within professional services or complex multi-stakeholder environments highly regarded
