We are currently partnering with a well-established global organisation to recruit a hands-on Financial Accountant for an immediate temporary assignment. This role will support the Senior Financial Accountant through a critical reporting period, with responsibility across financial reporting, lease accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and corporate reporting requirements.

The Role
This position will play a key role in supporting the Senior Financial Accountant with month-end and year-end reporting activities, helping to ensure the integrity of financial information across a large and complex business. Working closely with the broader finance team, you will contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting while providing technical accounting support across a diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Financial Accountant with month-end and year-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables.
• Manage lease accounting under IFRS 16, including reassessments, modifications, and related disclosures.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items.
• Assist with statutory financial reporting and the preparation of financial statements.
• Provide technical accounting support across a range of complex accounting matters.
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders across the global business to resolve accounting and reporting issues.
• Support internal and external audit requirements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and corporate policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.

About You

• Proven Financial Accountant experience within a large, complex, or multinational organisation.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge. 
• Experience supporting senior finance leaders through month-end and year-end reporting cycles.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation, fixed asset, and general ledger experience.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Available to commence immediately and contribute from day one.
