Our client is one of the largest private pathology businesses nationally. With over 1500 centres and 60 labs across Australia, this business is continuing to gain immense market share and build on it's existing strong reputation. Acquiring 3 new businesses late last year, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure across all the new business units. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accounting for AASB16 leases for ~1,500 leases;
• Calculation of doctor pays using BI software;
• Drive process improvement within the finance function, including both IT solutions and roll out processes required such as project management, procedures, etc.
• Preparation of subsidiary board report packs;
• Assistance in the preparation of group board report packs;
• Traditional month end financial reporting duties including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, technical accounting workpapers and assistance with audit requirements;

The candidate will have a track record of being a finance partner, preferably in retail or another relevant consumer sector. Exposure to property leasing and CAPEX projects would be strongly preferred. 

• CA / CPA qualified
• Project management experience 
• Lease accounting experience
• BI software experience including ability to write reports within BI software
• AASB16 / IFRS16 experience highly desirable
