We are currently partnering with a well-known global organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Financial Accountant for an immediate start 6-month fixed term contract based in Chatswood.
Joining a high-performing finance team, this position will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and supporting business performance through the delivery of timely and insightful financial information.
Working closely with both finance and operational stakeholders, this role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a large and complex environment whilst contributing to a number of ongoing finance initiatives and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packs and provide analysis and commentary on key business drivers and variances.
- Support statutory reporting requirements, audit processes and compliance obligations.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls across the business.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting activities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across finance and operational teams to provide financial support and insights.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects as required.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Previous experience within a Senior Financial Accountant or Financial Accountant role in a medium to large organisation.
- Strong technical accounting, reporting and reconciliation experience.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business.
- Experience working within complex or multinational environments will be highly regarded.
