The Role
Reporting into a centralised HR function, the Senior HR Advisor is responsible for delivering operational HR support and applying people frameworks within a site-based environment. The role has a strong advisory focus with accountability for execution at local level.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with leaders on employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances and workplace issues
- Supporting case management processes and preparing HR documentation
- Providing practical, day-to-day coaching to leaders on people management
- Coordinating end-to-end recruitment activities for operational and site-based roles
- Supporting onboarding, workforce changes and offboarding
- Maintaining accurate workforce records and reporting
- Assisting with the implementation of HR policies and people initiatives onsite
- Identifying workforce risks or emerging trends and escalating as required
You are a commercially minded, solutions-focused HR professional who is comfortable operating in a blue-collar, operational environment.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in an operational HR or HR business partnering role
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience supporting leaders with employee relations and case management
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Professional judgement, discretion and a practical approach
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a site-based role
- Current driver’s licence
