As part of its international expansion, the firm is launching a new Australian practice in Western Australia, backed by experienced leadership and a proven operating model focused on compliance, client service and operational excellence.
The Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity for a senior Western Australia-qualified solicitor to step into a Director / Salaried Partner (Non-Equity) role, playing a key part in the establishment of a new legal practice. The role offers significant autonomy, flexibility and strategic influence, with the support of an experienced international team.
The Role:
This is a senior, full-time position with a remote-first and flexible working model. The role is focused on governance, compliance and oversight rather than day-to-day fee earning. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the Legal Practitioner Director / responsible solicitor for the WA practice
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations under WA legal frameworks
- Overseeing governance, professional conduct and risk management systems
- Establishing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures and internal frameworks
- Ensuring adherence to trust accounting and professional standards
- Providing strategic legal oversight as the business grows
- Working closely with UK-based leadership to support the Australian launch
- (Desirable) Supporting personal injury matters where required
You will be a senior WA-admitted solicitor with:
- A current and unrestricted WA practising certificate
- Eligibility to act as a Legal Practitioner Director of an incorporated legal practice
- Strong experience in governance, compliance and regulatory frameworks
- Previous experience as a partner, director, principal or senior practitioner
- The ability to work autonomously and provide strategic legal oversight
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across jurisdictions
- Salary up to $300,000
