The Opportunity:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate / Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to join a well-established Commercial team in Melbourne. This role sits within a growing practice that advises on a mix of property-focused transactions and broader commercial matters, offering a unique blend of work across development, structuring and general corporate advisory.

The Role:

You will work closely with experienced partners and a high-performing team, advising clients across the full lifecycle of property and development transactions. The role includes:

• Advising developers and investors on property-related transactions
• Structuring and negotiating joint ventures and commercial arrangements
• Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements (including shareholder and service agreements)
• Supporting clients entering into, managing and exiting projects
• Exposure to general commercial M&A and day-to-day advisory work

This is a genuinely varied role that offers strong client exposure and the opportunity to take ownership of key workstreams.

About You:

You will be a commercially minded lawyer with at least 4+ years’ PQE, with experience in:

• Corporate / commercial law or property transactions
• Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Working on transactions from inception through to completion

You will also bring:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to provide practical, commercially sound advice
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, team-oriented approach
