If you are an experienced lawyer ideally that has had exposure to manufacturing and or construction or property and are seeking a genuine 2 I/C role to a highly regarded General Counsel then this is an opportunity you will need to consider.

In this role you will be involved in:

• drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts – in particular supplier contracts ranging from goods and services agreements, logistics and transport contracts, software and licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, master services agreements, building/construction supply agreements. It also includes customer contracts, grant deeds, variations, terminations and other ancillary contractual documents (eg. tenders);
• the provision of timely, accurate and effective advice on a range of legal matters from regulatory and compliance advice, legal risk, contractual interpretation, intellectual property protection, modern slavery obligations etc;
• reviewing external correspondence, training materials, marketing collateral, advertising, and other material to  ensure the organisation minimises and mitigates its exposure to legal liabilities and claims;
• Assisting to develop and implement legal processes, good contract management and business policies;
• Training the business around understanding and minimising legal risk and empowering them with appropriate legal templates;
• Keeping the business across relevant legislative changes;
• Assisting with WHSE and insurance issues where relevant;
• Managing external counsel on specific issues

To be considered for this role you will be an experienced lawyer that has ideally worked across the manufacturing and or construction or property space. You must have a high level of commercial acumen, excellent analytical skills the ability to work autonomously and build strong relationships.
