The Role | Reporting to the Financial Controller
- Manage monthly management accounts for all companies in line with accounting timetable
- General ledger reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of quarterly rolling forecasts & annual budgets
- Prepare monthly analysis of company performance against budget/forecast
- Prepare reports outlining key financial metrics
- Assist in the preparation of tax calculations for all companies including FBT and income tax
- Liaise directly with external auditors and ensure all queries are responded to and actioned in a timely manner
- Identifying and reporting on tax and other statutory changes that could impact the business
- Work closely with business managers to ensure correct accounting treatment of transactions
- Provide business partnering support to operational stakeholders to achieve business deliverables
- Provide advice to business partners based on actual results and forecast scenarios
- Support project activities as and when required
- Enforce internal controls and compliance including Delegated Limits of Authority
- Maintenance of the chart of accounts
- Assist in compiling annual insurance declarations
- Contribute to the development and improvement of reporting and analysis to enhance management decision making
- Identification and implementation of key business and process improvements
- Work with the business systems development team to implement automated self-service reports for internal stakeholders
- Manage the completion of the Inventory Stocktake process and ensure compliance with the stocktake policy
- Assist with the development of financial policies, procedures, systems, and processes
- Responsible for managing assistant accountant and accounts support staff including delegating, reviewing, and supervising their work
- Ensuring that staff have training plans in place and reflected in their performance reviews
- Other duties as required
CPA / CA qualified, you will have minimum of five years prior experience within a similar organisation.
You will have excellent time management skills and experience in managing priorities, while possessing a focus on continuous improvement and ability to drive change.
